Terms of Service

Sample document for a portfolio project — illustrative, not legal advice.

These terms govern your use of Coiffe (the “Service”) as a salon business (“you”). By creating an account you agree to them.

The Service

Coiffe is booking software for salons: you configure services, staff, and hours, and get a public booking page (and an embeddable widget) where your customers book appointments. We provide the Service on a subscription basis.

Accounts

You’re responsible for your account, for the accuracy of the information you provide, and for activity under your login. You must have the authority to act for the business you register.

Subscription & billing

  • Subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis until cancelled. Any free trial converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends.
  • You can cancel anytime from your billing settings; access continues through the end of the current paid period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
  • We may change pricing with advance notice; changes take effect on your next renewal.

Payments to you

Deposits and fees you collect from your customers are processed through Stripe Connect. You are the merchant of record for those charges, subject to Stripe’s terms, and you’re responsible for honoring your own deposit, cancellation, and refund policies with your customers.

Your customers’ data

You are the controller of your customers’ personal data; Coiffe processes it on your behalf to run the booking service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You’re responsible for having a lawful basis to collect it and for your own privacy practices with your customers.

Acceptable use

Don’t use the Service to break the law, send unsolicited messaging, attempt to access other tenants’ data, or disrupt the Service. We may suspend accounts that do.

Availability & liability

The Service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, Coiffe isn’t liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the prior twelve months.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms. On termination we’ll make your data available for export for a reasonable period, then delete it.

Changes

We may update these terms; we’ll post the revised version here and update the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
